Geographical position of Rangaroon - Rangaroon Tea Garden is a village in  BPO 3rd Mile Simkuna, Jorebunglow Sukiapokhri, Darjeeling, West Bengal 734102

Height:- It is situated about 6000 ft above from the Sea level.

How to reach Rangaroon - The distance from New Jalpaiguri to Rangaroon is about 70 kilometers.  Distance from Darjeeling is 18 kilometers.  If you rent a car from New Jalpaiguri, the cost will be around 2500-3000 rupees.  And if you take a share car of Darjeeling from New Jalpaiguri, get off at Jor Bungalow and from there take another car towards Peshak Road, and take left turn before 3rd mile. Rangaroon is 8-9 kilometers from there.

 Hotel or HomeStay - Rangaroon is a brand new place on the tourist map.  The number of families living here is also very low.  So there is no hotel facility here.  However, there are 7-8 home stays.  Humro HomeStay is one of them.  Home stay can be booked from Humro's official site. It is Very clean house and cooking is also very good.  There are also car facilities here.  If you want to Travel somewhere near the edge from here, that arrangement will also be done.  Bed tea in the morning, breakfast, lunch, tiffin in the afternoon, dinner and accommodation cost 1200 rupees per head per day.

 What to see here - Although Rangaroon does not have a so-called place of interest, but you can spend the whole day sitting here enjoying the natural beauty.  Looking ahead, you will be mesmerized by the magnificent view of Darjeeling on the left, Sikkim on the right and Kanchenjunga between these two hill towns.  It is not clear when the time will pass to play with the clouds.  There is nothing wrong with calling this place a cloud factory.

It is the paradise for bird watchers and bird photographers.  Different species of birds can be seen here.  Such as -

If you have a good fortune, you can also see a leopard here.

Those who love trekking can also trek from here to Darjeeling.  Before that, of course, talk to the owner of the home stay.  You can enjoy trekking through the tea gardens and jungles, listening to the fountains and the sounds of various unnamed birds.

There is a closed tea factory here. Although it now works as a tea warehouse. The workers collect tea from the tea garden and bring it here, then pack it from here and send it to different places by car.

রঙ্গারুনের ভৌগলিক অবস্থান- রঙ্গারুণ চা বাগানটি পশ্চিমবঙ্গ বিপিও 3 য় মাইল সিমকুনা, জোড়বাংলো সুকিয়াপোকরি, দার্জিলিং জেলা, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ 734102 এর একটি গ্রাম।
উচ্চতা:- রঙ্গারুণ সমুদ্রপৃষ্ঠ থেকে মোটামুটি ৬০০০ ফুট উচ্চতায় অবস্থিত।

কিভাবে রঙ্গারুন পৌঁছবেন – নিউ জলপাইগুড়ি থেকে রাঙ্গারুন এর দূরত্ব ৭০ কিলোমিটারের কাছাকাছি। দার্জিলিং থেকে দূরত্ব ১৬ কিলোমিটার। নিউ জলপাইগুড়ি থেকে গাড়ি ভাড়া এবং সেয়ার গাড়ি ২ ভাবেই যাওয়া  গাড়ি ভাড়া করে গেলে খরচ পড়বে ২৫০০-৩০০০ টাকা মতন। এবং দার্জিলিঙের শেয়ার গাড়িতে গেলে জোর বাংলো নেমে সেখান  থেকে পেশক রোডের দিকে অন্য গাড়ি নিয়ে ৩ মাইলের কিছুটা আগে বাম দিকে ৮-৯ কিলোমিটার।

হোটেল অথবা হোম স্টে – রাঙারুন পর্যটক দের মানচিত্রে উঠে আসা একদম নতুন একটি জায়গা। এখানে বসবাসকারী পরিবারের সংখ্যাও খুবই কম। তাই এখানে কোনো হোটেল এর সুবিধা নেই। তবে ৭-৮ টি হোম স্টে রয়েছে। যার মধ্যে হামরো হোম স্টে অন্যতম। হামরো এর অফিসিয়াল সাইট থেকে হোম স্টে বুক করা যায়। খুবই পরিষ্কার পরিচ্ছন্ন ঘর এবং রান্নাও খুবই ভালো। এখানে গাড়ির সুবিধাও রয়েছে। এখান থেকে ধারে কাছে কোথাও ঘুরতে যেতে চাইলে সেই ব্যাবস্থাও হয়ে যাবে। সকালের বেড টি, ব্রেকফাস্ট, লাঞ্চ, বিকেলের টিফিন, রাতের খাওয়া এবং থাকা নিয়ে প্রতিদিনের খরচ মাথা পিছু ১২০০ টাকা।

এখানে কি কি দেখবেন – রঙারুনে তথাকথিত তেমন কোনো দ্রষ্টব্য স্থান না থাকলেও, এখানে বসে প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্য উপভোগ করেই সারাটাদিন কাটিয়ে দেওয়া যায়। সামনের দিকে তাকালে বামদিকে দার্জিলিং, ডানদিকে সিকিম এবং এই পাহাড়ি শহর দুটির মাঝখান দিয়ে কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘার অপূর্ব দৃশ্য আপনাকে মুগ্ধ করবেই। মেঘেদের সাথে খেলতে খেলতে কখন যে সময় কেটে যাবে বোঝাও যায় না। এই স্থানটিকে মেঘের কারখানা বললেও ভুল কিছু বলা হয় না।

বার্ড ওয়্যাচার এবং বার্ড ফটোগ্রাফার দের জন্য রঙারুণ হলো স্বর্গরাজ্য। এখানে বিভিন্ন প্রজাতির বিভিন্ন রকম পাখি দেখতে পাওয়া যায়। যেমন –

কপাল ভালো থাকলে এখানে লেপার্ড এর দেখাও পেয়ে যেতে পারেন।

যারা ট্রেকিং করতে ভালোবাসেন তারা এখান থেকে ট্রেকিং করে দার্জিলিং পর্যন্তও যেতে পারেন। তার আগে অবশ্য হোম স্টে এর মালিকের সাথে কথা বলে নিতে হবে। চা বাগান এবং জঙ্গলের মধ্যে দিয়ে ঝর্নার এবং বিভিন্ন নাম না জানা পাখির আওয়াজ শুনতে শুনতে ট্রেকিং টি বেশ উপভোগ করতে পারবেন।

Tea Garden

এখানে আছে একটি বন্ধ হয়ে যাওয়া চা এর ফ্যাক্টরী। যদিও সেটি এখন চা এর গুদামের কাজ করে। চা বাগান থেকে চা সংগ্রহ করে শ্রমিকরা এখানে এনে জড়ো করে, তারপর এখান থেকে প্যাকিং সেরে গাড়িতে করে পাঠিয়ে দেওয়া বিভিন্ন স্থানে।

এছাড়াও হোম স্টে থেকে গাড়ি ভাড়া করে আপনি ঘুরে আসতে পারেন তাকদা, তিনচুলে, লামাহাটা ইত্যাদি স্থানে।

এই জায়গাটি হানিমুন গন্তব্যের এক নিখুঁত উদাহরণ।
